TRANSFER PERUGIA AIRPORT
FRIDAY

We will greet you at Perugia Airport airport at noon on Friday before transferring you to our selected hotel near Assisi. Transfers from Rome can be organised – please enquire.
After introducing you to your bikes, we’ll ride straight into the heart of Umbria’s beautiful landscape and a 30km Prologo
To culminate the day’s explorations, dinner awaits at our selected restaurant in the heart of Assisi and a fitting beginning to the Strade Bianche journey.

TAPPA 2:
MONTE SUBASIO
SATURDAY

47miles | 6400ft
Our 75km stage offers an exhilarating 2000m of climbing as you explore the remote beauty of Monte Subasio, where St. Francis once sought solitude in the mountains.
From the summit marvel at massive panoramic views stretching all the way to Gran Sasso, a highlight featured on our Abruzzo Gravel Weekend.
This challenging ride combines adventure with the comfort of dedicated ride leader support.
At midday we’ll refuel with a delicious lunch in a quaint mountain restaurant, immersing you in local flavours. Then, journey back through the storied paths of Assisi, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and savour the seamless blend of heritage and natural wonder.

HILLS & VALLEYS

Stage 3 takes you on a mesmerising exploration of the hills surrounding Assisi.
Pedal through undulating terrain, discovering charming medieval villages nestled in the hills. Along the way we’ll pause for lunch and enjoy refreshments at traditional spots, soaking in the authentic flavours of the region.
As you cycle past ancient hilltop towns, you’ll be immersed in the rich history and timeless beauty of Umbria. With each turn, enjoy stunning vistas over rolling landscapes, offering moments of quiet reflection and pure cycling bliss.
Let every pedal stroke bring you closer to the soul of this historic region, creating memories to cherish forever.

As your adventure concludes, we will ensure a smooth transfer back to Perugia Airport, aiming for an arrival around 11am. Transfers can be organised to Rome – please enquire.
