FAQ
YOU HAVE QUESTIONS. WE HAVE ANSWERS
Whether you’re gearing up to join us on an exhilarating cycling event or just pedalling through to gather more information, you’ve arrived at the right place!
General Questions
Are flights included?
Participants are required to arrange their own flights. For your convenience, our Event pages detail the specific airports from which our arrival and departure transfers operate. This allows you to book flights that align with our transfer services for a seamless travel experience.
Are Airport transfers provided?
Yes, we organise a pick-up service from the designated arrival airport on the event’s first day. To ensure a smooth transition to the event location, we generally recommend that your flight arrives no later than 12:30, as this allows sufficient time for you to be ready for the transfer at approximately 14:00. Please note, these times are provisional and subject to confirmation closer to the event date.
For those wishing to extend their adventure, arriving a couple of days early to explore the surrounding area is a popular option. If you choose to do so, simply join us at the airport on the arranged pick-up date. Detailed information on transfers to the departure airport at the event’s conclusion is available on the relevant Event page.
Do you provide Bike Rental?
Currently, we do not offer bike rental services. While there are bike rental companies offering a range of options for various budgets, the logistics of bike collection or delivery can be challenging and costly.
We strongly advocate for bringing your own bike, one that is not only comfortable for endurance events but also easy to maintain and repair. We encourage you to familiarise yourself with the mechanical aspects of your bike, such as reassembly, though assistance will be available at the start hotel to help with this process.
Bookings
Do I need travel insurance?
Absolutely. We cannot stress enough the importance of securing a travel insurance policy that offers comprehensive coverage. This includes protection against cancellation, medical expenses, and repatriation. Crucially, ensure your policy extends to cycling activities, covering all associated risks and potential bike repairs.
It’s important to understand we cannot cover costs related to cancellations due to family emergencies, illness, injuries, work conflicts, or other unforeseen circumstances.
How much is the deposit?
A deposit of £350 per is required to secure your place.
Deposits are is non-refundable.
When is the Balance Due?
On the 28th of October we will requets 50% of the event fee (minus the deposit). The final balance is due 90 days prior to the event’s start date.
For entries made after the 28th of October, 50% of the event fee will be required to secure your place.
single room supplement?
Yes, we offer the option for participants to enjoy the privacy of a single room throughout their trip. If this appeals to you, please select the ‘single room’ option on your Entry Form.
Single room option incurs a single supplement fee of £550.
This fee facilitates the provision of a private room, ensuring your comfort and privacy for the duration of your adventure.
What does Twin Room mean?
We price our event prices based upon two people sharing a room with two beds – perfect for friends booking together; simply indicate your room-sharing preferences on your entry form, and we will endeavour to meet your request.
However, for those seeking a bit more privacy, it is possible to book a limited number of single rooms on each event.
The single supplement price is indicated on each event’s entry form.
