To ensure you are well-prepared for your next cycling challenge we have some valuable insights and advice from experienced riders who have tackled some incredible rides.
Here are their tips for successful event preparation:
1. START EARLY:
Commence Training in Advance: “Begin your training well ahead of the event date. Allow ample time to build endurance and strength gradually. Start with manageable distances and gradually increase your weekly mileage.”
2. CREATE A TRAINING PLAN:
Set Clear Goals: “Define your cycling goals and create a training plan that aligns with them. Include a mix of long rides and interval training to improve both endurance and speed.”
Zwift Training Sessions: “Participate in our regular Zwift training sessions to simulate real riding conditions and connect with fellow riders. It’s an excellent opportunity to prepare and ask questions.”
Consider Terrain and Conditions: “Tailor your training to the event’s terrain and conditions. If you’ll encounter challenging climbs, incorporate hill-specific training into your regimen.”
3. CONSISTENCY IS KEY:
