To Hire or Not to Hire
As you watch your treasured carbon disappear down the oversize baggage shoot, it’s only natural to have concerns regarding your bike’s safety in transit.
A well packed hard shell case should provide virtually bomb proof protection and some bike boxes only require minimal dismantling.
We always recommend bringing your favourite and most comfortable bicycle – preferably one that’s also simple to fix!
If you’re worried about reassembly then you’ll find plenty of assistance when you arrive at the start hotel.
We do not have a bike hire service but there are bike rental companies in Portugal who do provide a range of bikes to suit most budgets. However, the logistics can make collecting or having your bike delivered awkward and expensive.
Plus, it only takes one minor discomfort to become a major problem when you’re spending long days in the saddle on a multi day endurance event.
