Join Professional Riders from Storey Racing in this rare opportunity to ride alongside the Pros in their secret training location high in the Estrela Mountains of Portugal and climb some of the toughest Col’s in Europe.
It’s no mystery why Professionals and National Team riders choose to train here in Portugal. With good weather, traffic free roads and smooth tarmac, these challenging mountains embrace a multitude of high altitude climbs including HC, CAT 1 and CAT 2 Climbs.
Discover dramatic climbs like the Col’ de Cabeça to Torres that snakes it’s way from 300m to 2,000m in only 33kms. The 15kms of Col’ de Manteigas with its switchbacks that climb up through the secluded wooded slopes high above Vale do Zêzere. Or, Col’ de Seia which was quoted by Cycling Weekly the last time they rode with us, as “Tougher than Ventoux”!
Regardless of your ability, the Storey Pros will help you level up and improve your cycling using the latest training techniques from World and Paralympic Champion, Sarah Storey, wearer of the Polka Dot Jersey in races like Tour of California and Tour of Brittany.
And, when you’ve finished riding in this undisturbed region of Europe, enjoy the breath-taking views, the delicious gastronomy and the sumptuous local wines from our mountain hotel situated at 1,500m altitude.
Portugal’s Serra da Estrela is a unique mountainous region offering ascents soaring up to an altitude of 2,000m (6,500ft). This Tour will take you off the beaten track and on an adventure discovering climbs you never knew existed.
We are continually amazed by the peaceful, smooth roads, the magnificent climbs and the exhilarating descents. And now we want to share these experiences with you.
